It's been forever...

I finally uploaded my camera, and realized it's been months since I posted. So I am doing a very long updated post here are a few of our Summer highlights.....
This is what you get when Boston dresses himself! I heart this kid so much, he makes me laugh everyday!

We finaly made it to the Zoo! We even saw all the new baby animals, we got lucky and they were all out and about. Boston loved it I think his favorite was the baby elephant and the train ride.

The last camping trip of the summer, can you tell Boston had a GREAT time. This is probably the dirtiest his face has ever been. Notice the two suckers he has, why not when your camping!
the BIG boys putting together the boys puzzle

At the cemetery on my Dad's birthday, we went and had ice cream
sandwiches and celabrated his life and all he did for us and so many others!

The three of us went on a little four wheeling ride
Boston LOVES four wheelers and motorcycles

What a cutie!
taking a rest

thinking he's big enough to drive!

We all participated in a Cancer walk, the walk went all night My Mom stayed till early in the morning. The rest of us walked laps for a few hours. They had luminar bags lining the whole track, which they lift after dark. It was an emotional night, wish my Dad would have been there as one of the survivors instead of a victim. We were happy that we could help raise money to a VERY worthy cause!

Preslie enjoying the night and her shades!

I went on a girl’s weekend over the 24th of July to St George with My Mom, Kristie & Preslie. We meet up with my Uncle Nathan & Aunt Charleen, and Aunt Utahna... We started the weekend in Beaver for Uncle Wayne's 80th birthday. Then we headed down to St George. We saw two shows at Tuacahn; Annie and Footloose. And of course Kristie and I went shopping! Both shows were great, and we had so much fun we’re going to make it a tradition to go down and see shows every year!

Preslie was such a trooper during the shows
All the girls minus me
Intermition fun!

Wow it’s been forever since I have updated our blog. We have had a very busy summer, and have had a lot of fun! This is going to be a long post, but I need to write it all down before I forget, for journaling purposes. These are from newest to oldest, I need to get better at this, and it’s a great way to document Boston’s childhood

Boston and I took a very nice relaxing trip to Star Valley for a week. We had so much fun hanging out with my Family and enjoying time on the farm, having a wienie roast, going to Jackson, and swimming /floating at the river. Thanks again Teddy for letting us crash at your place and for taking time to do so many fun things with us!

We also spent some time in Freedom, ridding the tractor with Uncle Roice and Donlee and feeding the ducks and chickens, and seeing all the other farm animals. I think that Boston would love to go stay with his great Uncle Roice for longer next time. He loved all the animals he had to play with. Thanks Roice for taking the time to show my little guy your farm, and for being such a good sergeant Grandpa to him, he is one lucky kid. We also spend a little time with my Grandma Jackson, Boston loved her toys that us kids used to play with when we we're young. Thanks for all the fun!

Her chicken, chicken

DUCKS! my favorite

Roice put some feed in my pant pocket, and let the ducks eat out of it
I thought this was funny and it made me laugh. You should ask Mom to see the video

Tractor rides! Mom's Grandpa used to do this when she came to visit
Mom got in, but she was scared I think she has lost her sense of adventure

I wanna drive

Trying to get used to how cold the water was, and throwing rocks

Ted and Tom our tour guides

Boys being boys

I loved riding horses I think I am a natural, I was not afraid at all,
and I got very upset when it was Tom's turn.
Tom showing me the ropes

Tom was nice enough to share his hat with me, I left mine at home I blame Mom

Waiting for another turn

Tom is quit the little horseman!

The 4th and such...

We had a great 4th, we started the day off at the Riverdale parade. It was very overcast and gloomy out, but we still had a great time.me waving my flag (thanks Aunt Kristie)

Waiting for it all to start

Nothing says parade like some Ritz crackers huh Parker!

We look so bored waiting for the train ride, but we had fun.

Me with my second cousins. I am the youngest, and to say the least I gets lots of attention from the older kids, I some times don't like it that much

After the parade we headed to Bountiful and had a bbq and swam at my Dad's aunts house.
Then we finished the night of with fireworks with my Mom's side of the family in Hooper.
I had a great Fourth of July and got to stay up way past my bed time!

Boston is a big fan of a comfy pillow! If he we're a supper hero, pillows would be his Kryptonite for sure! If he sees a nice pillow he would like to test drive he stops everything and lays down for a little rest. And the bath is no exception either. Here he is trying out the back pillow we use in the tub, he didn't mind the water in his ear surprisingly. I love this funny little guy, he makes everyday an adventure.

We took Parker and Boston to the Rodeo in West Haven, back in June, they like it for about 15 min and then they we're ready for something more interesting.

They loved the inflatable slide, Parker enjoyed it backwardsEnjoying a nice Popsicle in the shadeKory and Kristie met us later for fireworks with Preslie, she loved them. This picture is so funny Boston wanted to join her in the stroller.

Dad

What Makes a Dad
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,And so,
He called it ... Dad

Dad

It aches to stretch a smile, It pains to wear a frown
It hurts to know I'm falling, Down, and down, and down.
It burns to let a tear drop, It stings to leave it inside.
It breaks to have to cry, and cry, and cry
It aches to watch the world, It pains to look away.
It burns to just hold still, It stings to try and fly away.
It breaks me as I try to say to you, Goodbye, Goodbye, Goodbye.

Busy Busy

We have had a very busy couple of weeks.... Melissa was in town for a visit for two weeks, we tried to do a lot with her seeing how we don't see her all that much. We hiked Waterfall Canyon with her and Mom. Brady graduated, Melissa and I made him a cheesy candy bar poster lame we know but it turned out cute. There was plenty of shopping, and we did crafts one day. Parker and Boston planted a garden with Uncle Roice and Grandma Jackson, they loved playing in the dirt and putting seeds in the ground then watering more then just the garden. (I will have to get pictures from Kristie)
Then last weekend we went camping up to East Canyon, Liz and Steve brought the boys up on Sat to play. We had planned on swimming but no such luck the weather was crappy. We did get 3 games of shuffle board in, Jason and I mopped the floor with them. I guess old people sports are were are skills are at. We took the boys fishing, Boston (Daddy) caught his first fish. Boston didn't really care to much about the fish more about his sucker, and putting sticks in the pond. We got rained out on Sunday and came home early, but had a fun time! There is the Reader Digest version...

Dosen't he look so excited!

Boston on the way up to the waterfall, what a way to hike

Nothing like a sucker that has been
droped in the dirt a few times yum!

The first catch of the day
Not too impressed

This is more his thing, trying to hook the four wheelers
up to the truck in the pouring rain.

Oh and Boston alos had pink eye last week that turned into
an ear infection lovely. Look's like he got in a fight.
